* Krusevo is considered to have one of the best sites for paragliding in the world, having hosted the Paragliding World Cup in the past and playing host to the numerous events every year.. * Kruševo is also known as the centre of the Vlach (Aromanian) minority in North Macedonia. The Aromanians’ own name for themselves is “Armân,” but their neighbors generally call them some variant of “Vlach” (for example, in Macedonian the adjective form is “Vlaški,” a male Vlach is a “Vlav” and a female Vlach is a “Vlanka”). The origins of the word “Vlach” are ancient but it refers to a people speaking a Romance language, a language deriving from Latin. The official languages of the town are Macedonian and Aromanian. Kruševo is the only locality where Aromanian has any kind of official status. All other forms of recognition of the language in the world represent general, nationwide recognition in Albania and North Macedonia.
